Our Mission

Photo of smiling woman with laughing babyBlack babies die at more than three times the rate of other babies in all populations in the first year of life. They die because they are born too soon and too small. The mission of the San Francisco Black Infant Health program is to close the gap in infant mortality by helping women in our program have a healthy pregnancy. We empower women to make healthy life choices for themselves and their families. We build on the strengths of our clients by honoring our unique history and traditions as people of African descent. We provide vital life and parenting skills and share information important to African American women.
